Connect a wallet

Set up Ledger USB, Xaman, CROSSMARK, or a watch-only account.

Connect Ledger over USB

  1. Open XRPFrontend in Chrome or Edge on your computer. Use the full site tab rather than an embedded preview if the device chooser is unavailable.

  2. Connect the device with a USB data cable, unlock it, and open its XRP app. Close Ledger Live and other wallet apps that may be using the device.

  3. Select Connect wallet → Ledger · USB. Choose the device in the browser permission prompt.

  4. Review the address displayed on the Ledger device and confirm it. XRPFrontend uses the first XRP account at path 44'/144'/0'/0/0.

  5. Check that the same full address appears in Accounts. If the standard connection fails, try Ledger · alternate USB connection.

Ledger compatibility

The integration uses Ledger’s official XRP JavaScript SDK, with WebHID and WebUSB transports. A compatible device, firmware, XRP app, and browser are all required. Implementing a transport does not certify every device or transaction type.

Connect CROSSMARK

  1. Install CROSSMARK from its official source and set up your wallet inside the extension.

  2. Choose the matching network in XRPFrontend and confirm that you understand which network you are using in your wallet.

  3. Select Connect wallet → CROSSMARK and approve the account connection.

  4. Check the connected address. XRPFrontend requests signatures from the extension and submits reviewed transactions through the selected XRPL network.

View an account without signing

In Connect wallet, paste a classic XRP address beginning with r into Account address, then select View account. Accounts and Receive work in watch-only mode. Transaction review buttons remain disabled until you connect a signing wallet.

Xaman connection and signing are available. See Connect Xaman for the full flow. WalletConnect is not included. Never assume a wallet is supported because it can hold XRP.
