What is in the QR code?
XRPFrontend generates the QR code locally from the public classic address. It contains only the address. It does not encode the network, an amount, or a destination tag. Scanning it is not enough to confirm those other details.
You can share a public address without exposing signing keys, but it can link your identity to public ledger activity.
Verify a Ledger address
When a Ledger is connected, select Verify on Ledger on the Receive page. Read the address on the device and compare it to the address you intend to share. If it differs, disconnect and reconnect before receiving funds.
Confirm receipt on the ledger
A sender’s screenshot is not proof that a payment settled to your account. Inspect the validated transaction on the correct network and confirm the actual destination and delivered amount. Refresh your account if the page still shows an older snapshot.
